Helle Dyre Vaa Kebony Limited Edition King’s Knife. Handle made from Kebony – stabilised beech where the stabilisation process darkens the wood – between brass front and end pieces; the version that most closely resembles the original 1978 Dyre Vaa. Part of Helle’s 2026 limited-edition run of 500 Dyre Vaa ‘King’s Knife’ models, made to mark King Harald V’s visit to Askvoll municipality where Helle knives are made. The blade is polished H3LS steel with a Scandi grind and a long, trailing-point shape. The handle has ‘military grade’ brass front and end pieces, and comes with a classic Ox-leather sheath that follows the curved shape of the blade, threaded (not sewn) with a leather cord.
